Most free finance apps live off ads and monetizing your aggregated data. We don't.
Your sensitive data (descriptions, RUTs, account numbers, notes) is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Each workspace has its own key (DEK), protected by a master key (KEK) that doesn't live in the database. Searches work via HMAC so plaintext is never exposed.
Zero advertisers, zero data brokers, zero third-party tracking. You pay a plan or you use Free with caps — but you never pay with your data.

What people ask before getting started.
Is it safe to upload my statements to Gastus?
Yes. Descriptions, RUTs and notes are encrypted with AES-256-GCM the moment they hit the server. Each workspace has its own key (DEK), protected by a master key (KEK) that doesn't live in the database. Neither the Gastus team nor the hosting provider can read your data in plaintext.
Do I need to give you my online banking credentials?
No, never. Gastus never asks for your banking username or password. You download the statements (XLS or PDF) from the bank's website and upload them manually. That removes phishing risk entirely and keeps you safe even if Gastus had a security incident.
Which banks are supported today?
We have native parsers for BCI (account + credit card), Santander (account + transfers + credit card), Itaú, Banco de Chile, BancoEstado, Scotiabank, Falabella CMR and Cencosud Mastercard. If your statement has a different format, the AI-based OCR processes it anyway.
How much does it cost?
During Beta it's free for all admitted users. When we exit Beta we'll publish plans with at least 30 days' notice, and nobody will be charged automatically without explicit consent.
Can I export my data if I want to leave?
Yes. From the app you can export all your transactions as CSV or JSON whenever you want, for free. If you request account deletion, we wipe everything irreversibly within 30 calendar days.
Does it work for my business or only for personal use?
Both. One account can hold a Personal workspace and one or more Business workspaces, fully isolated. The Business workspace adds AI briefings, a cases view and categories tailored to professional services.
What happens with my data when I use the AI features?
Descriptions, amounts and counterparties (decrypted at query time) are sent to Anthropic Claude or Google Gemini, which are contractually barred from using your data to train their models. It's opt-in: we ask for explicit consent before first use and you can revoke it any time.
Are you regulated by the CMF?
No. Gastus is not a financial institution supervised by Chile's CMF and does not operate under the Fintec Law. We don't handle, custody or transfer money. We just help you visualize what you already have in your accounts based on the statements you upload.
